Web 3.0 by Alex Chompff

I want to share a document that I don't think exists anywhere else yet. It's an analysis of what Web 3.0 - especially NFTs - will mean for businesses in the future.

It's really hard to overstate the impact that gated communities, with electronic gatekeepers, backstopped by AI and ML, will mean in terms of transforming the current business landscape.

I'll only offer that I had a front row seat to the .com boom and the Internet value explosion, when information was being centralized and the titans of today were created. That internet (versions 1.0 and 2.0) may have solved the information and access problems - but they actually made the trust problem worse.

Blockchain solves the trust problem, and is 13 years into the 20-year promise all new technologies take to come true.

It's not an accident that the NFT market is 38X larger this year than it was at the same time last year. What we're looking at today is bigger than the Internet explosion was, and there are some smart people (ahem, Mark Zuckerberg Meta/FB) making the changes earlier than others.

Just as in 1995, it was difficult to understand how the Internet was going to supplant the largest companies in the world (manufacturers) with information brokers, it can be difficult today to understand what's about to happen when the technologies of web3.0 displace the custodians and middlemen of trust. There are very few people in the world who really understand the implications of what is happening.

In any case, it's pretty easy to get wrapped around the axle of this technology or that one, this coin or another, and to miss the larger point - that everything you've come to accept as normal (Google, Facebook, Instagram, Yelp, You name it) is about to be swept away on a "new" technology that's finally finding its perfect use case.

So, in the spirit of sharing and transparency, The Minters Collective offers our learning to this community.

Knowledge is power (and wealth), and you might as well know what we do - that the calendar, community, technology and relationships of the world are changing again, and now is the perfect time to plan for the future.

By the way, this is a business document, for business people. Let the techies have their fun. If you find it useful, please feel free to share it with your community, and let's win this race together!
